Inspired by these words of our beloved Gurudeva, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) has been organizing camps during Kumbha Melas. Likewise, we are planning to set up a YSS Camp at the Kumbha that will be held at Prayagraj (Allahabad) early next year. YSS/SRF devotees are welcome to attend this camp.
The Camp will be functional on the Kumbha Mela grounds from January 10 to February 15, 2025. This period will cover the bathing days of Paush Purnima (Monday, January 13), Makar Sankranti (Tuesday, January 14), Mauni Amavasya (Wednesday, January 29), Basant Panchami (Monday, February 3), and Magha Purnima (Wednesday, February 12).
Throughout the camp period at the Kumbha Mela, various spiritual programmes will be conducted by YSS sannyasis to enrich the stay of devotees. These will include morning and evening group meditations, kirtans (devotional chanting), and satsangas.
Programme Details
The registration fee is ₹ 2000 per person.
The Camp facilities are primarily intended for YSS devotees. However, we recognize that elderly parents and relatives may also wish to join the pilgrimage. If your family members or close friends/relatives are interested in being part of the visiting group, they are welcome to join as well.

- Your full name
- Age
- Gender
- Address
- Telephone number
- YSS Lessons Registration number (or SRF Membership Number)
- Full name, age and gender of other members in your group (if any), and how they are related to you
- Dates of your proposed arrival and departure (please suggest two preferences of your arrival and departure)
You may remit the amount against the payment link that will be sent to your mobile or email address. Alternative dates may be allotted to you in case there is a heavy rush on the dates of your first preference. We shall try to honour your first preference as far as possible. We will confirm your accommodation by email/SMS, which you should bring with you to the Kumbha Mela Camp.
Registration for SRF devotees:
SRF devotees are welcome to register, and participate in the spiritual programmes organized by YSS in the camp; and also partake of the meals. Considering the austere living arrangements in the camp, we suggest that they stay in nearby hotels; however, if they prefer to stay in the YSS camp, we shall accommodate them.
To register, please contact the YSS Helpdesk by email and provide all their details as mentioned above. Alternative dates may be allotted to you in case of heavy rush. Please give two different preferences of your travel plan.
Please note:
- First-come, first-served Basis: Due to the limited accommodation facilities available, registrations needing accommodation will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- As facilities at the camp are limited, only those persons whose accommodation has been confirmed by YSS will be allowed to stay in the camp. You are requested to not bring along friends and family members who do not have such confirmation.
- If your registration is confirmed but you are not able to attend, the registration fee will neither be refunded nor transferred to another person.
The accommodation at the YSS Camp is limited to four days and three nights, including the days of arrival and departure, to ensure that the maximum number of devotees can utilize the limited facilities while fulfilling their bathing and other observances.
The accommodation at the camp will consist of tents pitched on sand, with floors covered in straw and topped with tarpaulin.
- Beds, pillows, and blankets will be provided, but please bring your own bedsheets, pillow covers, and sleeping bags
- As the weather will be very cold in January and February, be sure to bring full winter clothing, such as a quilt, sleeping bag, sweater, cap, and socks. You may also want to bring a raincoat or umbrella, as occasional rain is possible during these months, mosquito repellent cream, torch, asana, and other items of personal use.
There are no separate charges for meals.
Please note: Men and women will be accommodated in separate tents, so families are requested to pack accordingly.

The Mela authorities have not yet allotted sites to participating organizations. We will post the site details and the route map when they become available.
