Through the grace of God and the Great Gurus, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) continues to grow rapidly throughout the Indian subcontinent, bringing more and more truth-seekers to the transforming and liberating path of Kriya Yoga.

Construction Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This role is crucial for ensuring that construction activities align with the project specifications, and are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Project Manager serves as a key liaison between contractors and the management team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.


Main Functions of the Role:

  • Hire and manage contractors and labourers to ensure that right personnel are assigned to various tasks
  • Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings prepared by architects and ensure accurate execution on-site
  • Oversee the construction process to ensure contractors adhere to plans and avoid mistakes
  • Understand and manage the materials used in construction to ensure quality and compliance
  • Handle basic accounting tasks including requesting quotations, issuing purchase orders, and managing stock
  • Develop and manage the construction team to ensure effective performance and collaboration
  • Act as the primary point of contact between contractors and management, facilitating clear communication and resolving issues
  • Prepare and present reports related to construction progress and issues
  • Plan and manage material requirements according to different stages of the construction project


Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech Civil Engineering)
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management
    • Proven experience managing at least one or two building construction projects independently, including civil, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, Field Surveys, Quantity Estimation, Bar Bending Schedules, Quantity Surveying, and Billing
    • Proactive and strategic planner with strong leadership skills
    • Ability to work effectively both as a team leader and a team player
    • Outgoing personality with strong communication skills
    • Capability to stay on-site as required and manage both small and large-scale projects.

Web Content Manager (IT)

Position Summary:
YSS is seeking a full-time Web Content Manager to provide hands-on support for website management, email campaigns, and other digital projects. A good understanding of YSS principles and standards is required, apart from experience in content management (using WordPress/similar) or other digital marketing areas.


Main Functions of the Role:

  • Update and manage the YSS website content
  • Upload/edit translations
  • Create email/SMS campaigns, and manage lists and audience segments
  • Track analytics, monitor trends, share actionable insights/recommendations
  • Provide training for digital team volunteers, and act as a resource for best practices and ongoing support


Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • A BSc in Computer Science or an MBA in Marketing is preferred, but not mandatory
    • 2+ years prior experience working in content management or digital marketing or web technology

Engineering Manager (IT)

Position Summary:
As the Engineering Manager for the PHP Full Stack Development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, encompassing both the server and client-side components. You will collaborate with various departments and functions to create high-quality, user-friendly web solutions.


Main Functions of the Role:

  • Backend Development: (Proficiency Level: Expert):
    • Develop server-side web application logic using PHP. We presently use CodeIgniter as the preferred framework and MySQL databases
    • Build RESTful APIs to facilitate communication with front-end applications
    • Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability; Knowledge of Redis is a plus
    • Work with version control systems (Subversion), to track changes and collaborate with team members
    • Conduct unit testing and integration testing of code components
  • Front-end Development: (Proficiency Level: Expert)
    • Develop dynamic and interactive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (Bootstrap and jQuery)
    • Ensure responsive design for mobile and desktop devices
    • Implement user-friendly, intuitive user interfaces designed for the targeted demographics
  • Deployment and DevOps: (Proficiency Level : Intermediate)
    • Deploy and manage web applications on web servers and cloud
    • Maintain the application server (Apache) and all the necessary libraries across multiple environments
    • Deploy the code and maintain the databases
    • Monitor and troubleshoot issues
  • Project Management:
    • Working closely with project team members (especially software developers) to identify and resolve issues
    • Coordinating with cross-discipline teams to make sure that all the stakeholders are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
    • Building prototypes to get validation from internal stakeholders
    • Ensure thorough QA testing for each project
    • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed
    • Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation


Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in PHP
    • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks
    • Proficiency in databases and SQL

Software Testing Engineer (IT)

Position Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Testing Engineer to join our quality assurance team. As a Software Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Main Functions of the Role:

  • Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
  • Develop and maintain test data and test environments, and ensure that they are up-to-date and accurate
  • Develop and execute automation scripts using Selenium for web application testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and ensure that the software meets the quality standards
  • Participate in code reviews, and provide feedback to improve the quality of the code
  • Should be able to work comfortably with remote teams
  • Periodically visit Ranchi to meet and collaborate in-person with the rest of Digital Services Team


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • A work experience of 4-6 years


Technical Requirements:

Lead the strategic planning, execution, and marketing for YSS publications. Leverage, manage, grow, and strengthen distribution channels, both online and offline. Drive online marketing and digital campaigns to make a significant impact in the reach and distribution of YSS publications.

Main Functions of the Role:

  • People Management – The role has team leading responsibility
  • Marketing – strategic planning and execution
  • Managing, growing, and strengthening of distribution channels
  • Sales forecasting supported by research and analytics to contribute from a marketing perspective
  • Book fair planning and oversight, identification of potential opportunities for online and offline publication sales
  • Dealing with courier partners and India Postal services for a seamless experience
  • Inventory management including opportunities to streamline processes
  • Debtor account management
  • Packaging material procurement and planning
  • Other position-related tasks as assigned


Experience and skills:

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate / Masters in Business Administration (or equivalent) with specialisation in Marketing/Distribution
  • 5-7 years of proven expertise in marketing (exposure in books/publishing industry will be preferred), online marketplace processes, knowledge of social media digital campaign management and promotions
  • Strong managerial skills and ability to work with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in MS office programs and social media platforms
  • Negotiation skills, vendor management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate good judgement
  • Knowledge of and experience with YSS teachings and principles will be helpful
  • Fluency in Hindi and English language

Sevak Opportunities

Some of the benefits of being an ashram Sevak are: living in a spiritually-uplifting ashram environment, morning and evening group meditations led by monastics, regular spiritual discourses and classes conducted by monastics specifically for Sevaks, spiritual fellowship with monastics and other Sevaks, periodic outings with other Sevaks for rejuvenation, and an opportunity to live a spiritually balanced life.

Though devotees offer their Seva without seeking any remuneration other than free boarding and lodging, YSS may offer an honorarium to some Sevaks.

Assistant, Legal & Properties Department

Position Summary:
The role ensures legal document preparation, compliance with relevant laws, and organized record-keeping, crucial for smooth operations and legal integrity within the organization and coordination with Kendras and Lawyers.

Main Functions of the Role:

  • Prepare and manage internal approval documents and legal documents such as Sale/Gift Deeds, Power of Attorney, and Wills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards
  • Understand and apply relevant laws related to YSS functioning such as Income Tax, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Property to ensure the organization’s compliance with legal requirements
  • Interact effectively with Kendras and devotees to facilitate information exchange and address any concerns
  • Store and file all correspondence, including letters, emails, and messages, in an organized and secure manner, maintaining confidentiality and easy retrieval
  • Interact with lawyers, consultants, etc. for various legal and property-related matters
  • Research the legal statutes, rules, case laws, etc. on various legal issues and present the findings of the research in a meaningful manner


Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Chartered Accountant (Final or Inter) or Company Secretary or Law Degree or any other graduate having experience in legal documents and law-related matters
    • At least 3 years’ work experience (optional)
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong communication skills in English language (both written and spoken)
    • Working knowledge of Hindi language (both written and spoken)

Hospital Administrator

The Hospital Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sevashram, YSS Hospital at Ranchi Ashram, ensuring that it provides high-quality healthcare services to patients in an efficient manner. This role involves managing staff, patient care services, overseeing finances, community outreach programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.

Main Functions of the Role:

  • Operations Management:
    • Coordinate with medical and non-medical staff to ensure effective patient care delivery
    • Oversee daily operations of the hospital, ensuring all departments function smoothly
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare and manage the hospital’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
    • Monitor expenditures and identify areas for cost savings without compromising patient care
    • Oversee fundraising initiatives, including grant writing and donor relations
  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise dispensary staff, including doctors, nurses, and administrative personnel
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and staff retention
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or conflicts

    • Represent the dispensary at community events, health fairs, and other relevant forums
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that the dispensary complies with all local and state healthcare regulations

    • Prepare for and manage inspections and audits by regulatory bodies
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to continually improve patient care services

Qualifications:

    • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, financial management, and fundraising

YSS is seeking a volunteer to set up and manage multi-modal digital campaigns. The individual should have experience in creating and maintaining automation flows and personalization.

Main Functions of the Role:

    • Proficiency in reporting and analytical skills are preferred
    • Proficiency in Google Search Console and Yoast plugin is required
