About the Event

To his followers, Paramahansa Yogananda is known, above all, as a premavatar, incarnation of divine love, a supreme bhakta. Outstanding in his character was his overwhelming love for God, whom he reverenced as the Divine Mother.

January 5, 2024, marks the 131st birth anniversary of our beloved Gurudeva, Paramahansa Yogananda. On this joyous occasion, a YSS sannyasi led a special commemorative programme which included meditation and satsanga in English on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. (IST).

YSS ashrams and centres also organized in-person Janmotsav programmes around this time.

On this auspicious occasion, it is a tradition to pay homage to Gurudeva Paramahansa Yogananda — expressing our gratitude for his spiritual legacy of Kriya Yoga teachings. Your valuable offering will be used to promote and disseminate the soul-liberating teachings of our blessed Guru.
