Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) sannyasis embarked on a tour of Sri Lanka, giving inspirational public talks, and conducting classes on the Kriya Yoga teachings of Gurudeva Paramahansa Yogananda. These programmes were scheduled from January 27 to February 3, 2024.
The classes conducted by the sannyasis provided a blessed opportunity for the devotees to learn or review YSS meditation techniques and seek spiritual guidance to apply Gurudeva’s principles in daily life.
Additionally, this tour also served as an introduction for newcomers to the profound Yoga-meditation teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Colombo
Timing: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Programme Information: Launch of the Sinhala translation of the Autobiography of a Yogi in Sri Lanka and inspirational talk by a YSS sannyasi on ‘‘Rising above life’s challenges and living happily.’’ The talk was in English with Sinhala translation.
There was no registration fee.

YSS Lessons in Self-realization
Following the public talks, newcomers were welcomed to subscribe to the YSS Lessons in Self-realization: a comprehensive home-study Lessons series on meditation and spiritual living that are sent to you over a period of nine months. These are available in English and Tamil; and the subscription fee is 16,000 Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) for the Basic Series.
